Pubblicate le candidature della nona edizione dei premi Dorian Awards (in onore di Oscar Wilde), promossi dall’associazione GALECA composta da giornalisti e critici di lingua inglese (USA, Canad, U.K.) dichiaratamente LGBT, che considera film e serie, uscite nell’anno appena trascorso, con o senza contenuti LGBT (ma di sicuro gradimento al pubblico LGBT). Oltre alle solite categorie, sono inserite anche categorie poco usuali, come “Film visivamente impressionanti”, “Film erotico-camp”. Le premiazioni non sono annunciate in una serata di gala ma durante un party informale a Los Angeles che parte dal primo pomeriggio.
I membri dell’associazione sono più di 200 tra i quali il famoso critico Kevin Thomas, la giornalista lesbica Judy Wieder, il celebre colonnista Michael Musto, il professore di letteratura Joseph Bristow (uno dei più famosi studiosi di Oscar Wilde).
“Chiamami col tuo nome” ottiene ben nove candidature, “120 battiti per minuto“, che non è entrato nella lista per l’Oscar (era stato candidato dalla Francia), ne guadagna cinque.
