Sulla principale rete di siti gay americani (Gay.com, PlanetOut.com, Out.com, Advocate.com, ecc.) si stanno svolgendo le votazioni per le principali categorie degli Oscar. Le votazioni ufficiali, chiuse la scorsa settimana, saranno rese note nella cerimonia di premiazione condotta da Ellen DeGeneres domenica 25 febbraio. Sul web impazzano anche altre votazioni “irregolari” come quelle organizzata dalla comunità web svedese “The Pirate Bay” (Oscartorrents.com), che offre anche il downloading (illegale) di tutti i titoli in concorso con la nota: “A coloro che sono preoccupati per il download nel caso venissero denunciati: secondo i nostri calcoli, la possibilità di essere beccati ‘con le mani nel file’ è inferiore a quella di vincere alla lotteria”.
Le votazioni dei gay americani (ma non solo) premiano come miglior film “Little Miss Sunshine” ma Martin Scorsese (“The Departed”) come miglior regia, Forest Whitaker (“The Last King of Scotland) come miglior attore e Helen Mirren ( “The Queen”) come miglior attrice. Se fossero rispondenti ai risultati ufficiali dovremmo sospettare che la maggioranza degli iscritti all’Academy sia gay?
